Game of Thrones: Theories About The Night King Are Multiplying

If you have not seen Episode 3 of Season 8, it's time to eclipse yourself. Since season 4 and his first appearance, fans have not stopped to question the true identity of the King of the Night. We decipher the different theories.
After 7 seasons to install the final clash, the Battle of Winterfell is finally here. The wall has fallen and the dead are at the gates of the city, the chances of succeeding are slim but hope is possible. It is Arya who delivers the coup de grace and destroys the army of the dead. But while the King of the Night is reduced to dust, a question remains. Who is he ? Theories are going well, but not sure that the series brings us the expected answers ...

The King of the Night is not a Targaryen

The last episode revived theories about the true identity of the King of the Night. One scene is particularly debated is the clash between the King of white walkers and Daenerys. While he has just fallen from his faithful steed, the Sovereign of the dead is confronted with the unburnt and the fire of his dragon. In a word, "Dracarys" , the young woman ends the conflict. Finally, that's what we believe, since a few seconds later, he appears in the midst of the flames, undefeated, unlike his henchmen, who fear the flames.
If it has common characteristics with Daenerys, the comparisons stop there. During its transformation, about 12,000 years before the beginning of the series, the Targaryen were not in Westeros. Indeed, to see the first silver-haired men arrive in Westeros, we must go back only 300 years before the fall of King Baratheon. Aegon, first of the name, leaves his island of Peyredragon to conquer 6 of 7 crowns. The powers of the Night King, however, remain a mystery, in addition to withstanding the fire, he is able to ride a dragon (zombie), which is reserved for Targaryen.

Bran trapped in the body of the Night King

The three-eyed crow is omniscient and in one of his excursions in the past, Bran discovers the creation of White Walkers. Since this episode, many imagine that the young Stark would have found himself stuck in the body of the King of the Night, and would have waited patiently for his birth to attack Westeros. In addition to the physical similarities, it is the bond that unites the two characters that reinforces the suspicions. If Ned seems to hear the cry of his son in the vision of episode 3 of season 6, the King of the Night, he managed to touch the crow with three eyes and drop his mark. Defeated by young Arya, the character goes out and carries with him his biggest secret. The last episode does not contradict this theory, but it is a safe bet that the next will bring some elements of answer.
The King of the Night was defeated but with bitterness. No revelation about his motives or his origins, for the moment, would it be the bitter sweet ending promised? The conclusion of Game of Thrones is not very far. The fourth episode will air on OCS next Monday at 3am.
